F1 : LEWIS HAMILTON BEATS NICO ROSBERG TO POLE IN ABU DHABI ; ROSBERG TO TAKE F1 WORLD TITLE ?
Formula 1 Star Lewis Hamilton has beaten Nico Rosberg to pole at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix but Rosberg now looks poised to take the F1 World Championship Title.Tweet
Hamilton, who was 0.303 seconds ahead of his nemesis-cum-team-mate Rosberg in the qualifying Saturday, snatched his 12th pole for the season - his 61st pole overall in his career.
Hamilton now ranks No.3 in most poles - of all time - just behind Ayrton Senna (65 poles) and Michael Schumacher (68 poles).
But the ultimate glory could belong to Rosberg at the end of the day, Sunday at Yas Marina.
All Rosberg needs to do is to finish 3rd in Abu Dhabi - at least - and he will be the 2016 F1 World Champion.
It doesn't matter what Hamilton's finish will be.
The race for the World Title is not in Lewis Hamilton's hands.
It's in Rosberg's.
And barring some kind of unthinkable, out-of-this-world freak disaster, Rosberg is going to nail it.
