TENNIS : SERENA WILLIAMS WINS LAUREUS SPORTSWOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD - - DESPITE BEING OUT OF ACTION FOR 11 MONTHS !
Queen Of Tennis Serena Williams @SerenaWilliams has been named Laureus World Sportswoman of The Year - - with a bit of a stir, this time.
It's the 5th time, Serena Williams has won the prestigious award.
Serena was out of action for 11 months due to her pregnancy, but still managed to bag the award for the year, somehow.
Serena Williams won the 2017 Australian Open in January 2017 - - her 23rd Grand Slam Crown - - while eight weeks pregnant, battling her way through the entire tournament under the punishing Australian summer heat on the hard court.
"Ride or die. Women are tough", she later said.
Serena Williams, now 36, has been a towering symbol of women's power - - on and off the court - - throughout her career.
After more than a year of maternity off, Serena is now set to come back to high-action tennis.
Her husband, web giant Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, Sr. @AlexisOhanian has given her a new "award" in style - - - displayed in four giant billboards - - Greatest Momma Of All Time.
