Former UEFA President Michel Platini calmly drops a deafening bombshell on the world of football barely few weeks before the much-awaited 2018 World Cup by casually admitting in a French Radio interview, there was some kind of fixing in the 1998 World Cup held in France.Tweet
France and Brazil faced each other in the Championship Final of the 1998 World Cup, in which the host country France won, 3-0.
Platini playfully admitted on France Bleu sport radio, they "did a little trickery" when they "organized the calendar" for the world event, to make sure France and Brazil would not meet until the Final.
France-Brazil in the final, it was the dream of everyone, Platini said.
Michel Platini, a former France Captain, was in the organising committee at the time.
