FOOTBALL : CHAPECOENSE TRAGEDY - - SKIES CRY IN BRAZIL AS NATION PAYS TRIBUTE TO FALLEN HEROES !
The skies are crying in Brazil as the country welcomes home their fallen heroes -- their bodies in coffins draped in white and green -- amidst rains and tears from the grieving public.

The President of Brazil, Michel Temer, leads military honors as the caskets were slowly marched in, the townspeople of Chapeco -- still in shock and sheer disbelief -- watched with glum and somber looks in their eyes.

The haunting images reverberate around the world on TV, and on the internet.

The Chapecoense football team -- white and green , their official team color -- was almost entirely wiped out in a tragic plane crash en route to the biggest match of their lives -- the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana Finals -- a momentous event that could have been their greatest glory but rather was turned into a shattering tragedy.

Their plane, a charter flight from Bolivia bound for Medellin in Colombia, plunged into a mountainside shortly before destination.

Medellin, its team 'Atletico Nacional', was supposed to be the host and the opposing side against Chapecoense in the Cup Championship Finals.

Of the 77 people on board, 71 were killed, including 20 journalists.

Chapecoense had lost 19 players, and its coach.

Six people, 3 of whom are Chapecoense football players, had miraculously survived.

The plane reportedly ran out of fuel and was in total electrical failure, causing the disaster.

Brazil and Colombia were supposed to be 'enemies' in the Championship Finals.

But in pain and tragedy they had become united.

And so is the world of football.

Thousands of mourners pay their respects before send-off in Colombia, and thousands took to the streets in Brazil to welcome the return of their befallen champions.

'Guerreiros' (Warriors), reads one among the sea of signs carried by grieving fans.

'Eternos Campeões' (Eternal Champions), reads another.

The painful tragedy had touched the lives of millions, beyond words.

But tragedy, at times, -- indeed -- could bring out the best in men.

UFC : MATT HUGHES , CHUCK LIDDELL FIRED BY UFC !
UFC Legends Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell had been fired by the UFC.

The two UFC Hall of Famers are among the latest casualties in the ongoing purging of the UFC since takeover of the new management.

Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell are the biggest legends on the list, so far.

Liddell served as UFC's Executive Vice President for Business Development, after retirement from the sport.

While Hughes served as UFC's Vice President for Athlete Development and Government Relations, also after retirement from the sport.

Both are considered to be among the greatest fighters to have ever graced the Octagon.

Chuck Liddell was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2009, and Matt Hughes in 2010.

UFC was sold for a whopping $4 Billion Dollars in July 2016 -- said to be one of history's biggest franchise sale in all sports.

UFC was first acquired from its original founders and owners in 2001 just for $2 Million Dollars.

Since the new change of ownership in July, almost a hundred UFC employees had been laid off, including top executives.

Heads continue to roll.

FOOTBALL : CHAPECOENSE TRAGEDY - - CHILLING LAST PLEA ON CONTROL RADIO BEFORE CRASH !

FOOTBALL : CHAPECOENSE TRAGEDY - - CHILLING CONTROL TOWER RADIO EXHANGE BEFORE CRASH !
A black-box audio recording, leaked to the press, of the exchange between Colombian air control tower and incoming air traffic in Medellin showed moving details how the distressed aircraft LaMia Flight 2933, carrying the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, desperately sought help before fatally plummeting to the ground.

The pilot, Miguel 'Micky' Quiroga, can be heard over the radio exchanging with a female air traffic controller calmly reporting the aircraft was in total electric failure and out of fuel.

Shortly, air traffic control began giving instructions to the pilot in preparations for landing, while other aircraft with their own issues waited airborne.

Later at 9,000 feet Miguel Quiroga suddenly lost contact to the control tower.

His last word, 'Jesus!'

His radio has gone dead quiet, despite repeated calls from the control tower.

In a tragic twist of fate, pilot Miguel Quiroga who had become a father to his third child only recently, himself had lost his own father in an aircraft accident, when he was still a baby.
