Nadal, 15-Time Grand Slam Champion, has dethroned Andy Murray as World No. 1.
Andy Murray reigned as World No.1 for 41 consecutive weeks - - almost one year - - from 07 November 2016 to 20 August 2017, when Nadal finally overtook him.
The new World No. 1 dethroning Murray was a toss-up between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer .
However, Roger Federer withdrew from Cincinnati Masters last week due to back injury, paving the way for Nadal to retake the World No.1 spot, anew.
Nadal posted his message on FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram thanking his fans and supporters, describing his return to World No.1 as "special". - - @RafaelNadal
It's Nadal's first reascent to world tennis top spot in 3 years.
