OLYMPICS : BASKETBALL'S TEAM USA, TOO PRECIOUS FOR ATHLETES' VILLAGE ?

So, not all athletes are created equal. Some are fit for a crowded Olympic Village. While some are fit only for luxury ships. Well, to be fair, Team USA Basketball had been staying away from Olympic Villages since 1992. They also stayed on a ship at the Athens Olympic Games, and in hotels at the Beijing and London Olympics. For "security reasons", they say. Well, how can one argue against that? Security reasons. You have to agree that your security is not the same as Kevin Durant's security. Or, Michael Jordan's. "Our (basketball) players are probably the most recognizable athletes in the world. We can't just throw them in. They are very valuable assets. We have to protect them", said a USA Basketball official. Well said.
