Sergio Romero injured himself during training in Buenos Aires Tuesday and officially was dropped from Argentina's national squad, the team had announced on Twitter.
ARGENTINA'S ACE GOALKEEPER SERGIO ROMERO
INJURED AND IS OUT OF WORLD CUP.
Romero recently returned from injury, and his knee joint blockage now requires surgery, reports said.
Argentina's national team is lead by Lionel Messi - - arguably the greatest footballer alive.
Messi has not brought home a World Cup trophy for Argetina - - yet.
Regardless, many see it as immaterial to his already cemented legacy.
Nevertheless, it would absolutely be a very sweet icing on his cake, if he would.
