PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (PSG) OFFICIAL STATEMENT OVER ALLEGED MATCH-FIXING:
It is with the utmost amazement that Paris Saint-Germain discovers, this Friday, the article of the website of the team evoking suspicions of rigging of the match of the Champions League having opposed, on October 3, at Red Star of Belgrade, suspicions of alleged acts of punters from Serbia.
The Club categorically rejects any direct or indirect involvement in relation to these suspicions and also specifies that at no time was Paris Saint-Germain solicited by the National Financial Office in charge of the investigation.
Paris Saint-Germain is at the disposal of investigators and will not tolerate the slightest damage to its reputation or that of its leaders. In this regard, the Club reserves the right to take legal action against anyone who defames the Club and its officers.
