WINTER OLYMPICS : NORTH KOREA AND SOUTH KOREA SHAKE HANDS IN UNITY AS THE WINTER GAMES BEGIN !
So, peace could be in the hands of Kim Jong-un, after all?Tweet
Well, it seems.
If he wishes to send his delegation to the Winter Olympics, he could.
If he wishes to send his "army of beauties", he could.
And, his sister, too.
If he wishes to shake hands with the South, he certainly could.
So, what on Earth is stopping him to sit down and talk no-nonsense peace - - once and for all?
I wish, peace is that simple.
We all know, it's not.
We would be so naive to believe, that so-called "Olympic diplomacy" exists.
Whoever invented that word.
Do we really believe, 60 years of bitter, long-running war, countless deaths, indescribable sufferings could come to an end, just like that - - with the Olympics?
I would love to believe so, but I wouldn't.
People use the Olympics to advance their own agenda, we all know that.
Terrorists do that.
Hitler did that.
Ultimately, whatever is in the mind of Kim Jong-un, only him - - and him alone - - knows what.
But let's try and cut it down to the bottom line, shall we.
Should Kim Jong-un follow the footsteps of his father and grandfather, and try to live by an ideology, that has gone completely irrelevant with our modern times?
Or should he face the pragmatic realities, and be a part of the changing world we all live in, today?
The Cold War is long over.
Times had changed.
Dictatorships and absolute rulers are now things of the past, Kim Jong-un knows that.
Even thousand years old absolute monarchies had changed.
Socialism and communism were fantastic - - in theory - - but just didn't work.
If Karl Marx was alive today, he probably would see things differently.
And, Che Guevara would probably agree with him.
Kim Jong-un loves to play basketball, ever since he was a little kid.
He loves Dennis Rodman, too.
Now, would he rather play basketball, or play nukes?
The ball, is in his hands.
