TENNIS : ROGER FEDERER WINS SHANGHAI MASTERS; THWARTS RIVAL RAFAEL NADAL IN THE FINAL TO WIN 94TH CAREER TITLE !

In what could be the most astonishing display yet of dominance over his mortal nemesis, Roger Federer annihilated Rafael Nadal at the Shanghai Masters in 2 straight Sets, giving the Spanish Bull not a single chance to break point to clinch his 94th career Title -- his 27th ATP Masters 1000 Title -- under his wallowing belt.

Federer, pulling off a tennis masterclass to the delight and cheer of predominantly pro-Federer Chinese crowd at the Shanghai Stadium, prevailed over Nadal in just 1 hour and 11 minutes, 6-4, 6-3.

Despite the very high caliber of tennis by the two warriors, Nadal was immediately broken by Federer in his first opening Service Game, 2-0.

Federer never gave Nadal the chance to breathe over water, and quickly nailed him in the First Set, 6-4.

Second Set, Federer drew the first blood early breaking Nadal again on his 3rd Service Game, 3-2.

Nadal, a notorious late knock-out puncher, still had the chance to recover and execute a magical turnaround.

However, in his crucial 4th Service Game in the Second Set to stay in the match (5-3), he missed an overhead smash on Federer's lob, giving Federer a heavenly golden match point, on his very own serve.

Federer, didn't have much time for charity, stole the chance, and closed out the Championship Match with no hesitation, whatsoever, 6-3.

It was the 38th encounter on the battle court to date, between the two, their epic rivalry dating back some 13 years ago.

A rivalry so epic, it gave birth to two absolute immortals of the sport.

Roger Federer has escaped a tough test from big-serving Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina at the Shanghai Masters Semi-Final, emerging victorious after 3 Sets of high-intensity tennis in almost 2 hours, 3-6; 6-3; 6-3.

The final scores absolutely do not show the intensity of action and drama on court from start to finish, with literally only a ball or two may have changed the outcome of the epic match between the two.

Both Roger Federer and Juan Martin Del Potro were unhappy with the noisy crowd while ball was in play, the umpire looked helpless.

The Chinese crowd seemed unable to contain their excitement and emotion as Federer and Del Potro went toe-to-toe with incredible display of tennis, until the very last point.
