FOOTBALL : CRISTIANO RONALDO BEATS MESSI, NEYMAR; WINS FIFA BEST PLAYER 2017 AWARD !

Amidst a mix of cheers and boos, Cristiano Ronaldo clinches FIFA's Best Player of the Year Award for 2017.

Ronaldo has beaten his arch-rival Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. for the most coveted honor in a star-studded awards night at the London Palladium.

Football legends like Diego Maradona, Ronaldo (Ronaldo Luis, the Brazilian) and Hollywood superstar Catherine Zeta-Jones all graced the event.

Cristiano Roaldo won the award in a landslide victory winning more than 40% of the votes cast.

Ronaldo garnered 43.16% of the total votes, while Messi was far away 2nd with only 19.25% and Neymar Jr. with a mere 6.97%.
