So, 'Wonder Woman' has been slain by the girl with arm and leg tattoos!

Tennis Queen Serena Williams' incredible run as World No.1 - for 186 consecutive weeks - has been ended as she is beaten by Karolina Pliskova in the US Open Semi Finals.

Pliskova, though ranked World No.11, is a bit unheard of to many, and only had been in the 3rd Round of a Grand Slam as her previous best performance.

She sports tribal tattoos on her left arm and leg, purportedly to tell her apart from her identical twin sister.

Yes, she has a twin sister! Kristyna. And, she also plays tennis! Together, they became the first twin sisters to win a Doubles Title in WTA history.

Serena Williams, who slides to World No. 2, has been taken over by Angelique Kerber as the new World No. 1, due to her shock loss to Pliskova.

Pliskova dosed Serena with her own medicine in their Semi Finals duel - killer serves.

Though Pliskova's serves are not as huge as Serena's , they are well-placed, strategic, sharp, and stinging.

Serena's notorious power serves, seemed powerless this time on this battle.

She made headlines appearing at the US Open, donning a "Wonder Woman" inspired outfit.

Pliskova dismissed her in straight Sets, 6-2, 7-6.

Though the second Set came to a crucial Tie-Break, Serena actually had some moments to get even in the match.

But she did the worst unthinkable in tennis - double-fault on a match point!

Pliskova enters the Finals for the first time in her career.

Tennis Queen temporarily down, but certainly not out, her arduous quest for the Magic 23, continues.
