ATHLETICS : MO FARAH TO RETIRE NEXT YEAR ?
Olympics Sensation Mo Farah is set to retire next year.Tweet
The most decorated British Track and Field athlete in modern history, Farah has said his run in the IAAF Diamond League in London in July 2017 would be his last.
Now 32, Mo Farah is the back-to-back Olympic Champion in two Track and Field events - the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters run.
He snatched the Gold Medals at the 2012 London Olympics in both events, and successfully defended his reign at the 2016 Rio Olympics - also in both events - completing the so-called Olympic 'Double-Double.
He is only the second man to do so, in the history of modern Olympics.
Apart from his astonishing Olympic credentials, Mo Farah is also the 2013 World Champion in both 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters events, having won the Titles at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow. He also successfully defended his Titles at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
Bestowed by Prince Charles at the Buckingham Palace in 2013 with his CBE title (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire), Mo Farah is probably the most famous face in world athletics - next to Usain Bolt!
