F1 : LEWIS HAMILTON BEATS NICO ROSBERG TO POLE AT US GRAND PRIX ; TAYLOR SWIFT STEALS THE SHOW - - ALMOST !
The most heated rivalry in motorsports is on.Tweet
Lewis Hamilton vs. Nico Rosberg.
But suddenly enters Pop Music Sensation Taylor Swift who nearly steals the show in Austin. Well, yeah, nearly.
At the US Grand Prix, Taylor Swift treated F1 fans to a scintillating performance at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.
But not as electric as the F1 qualifying when Lewis Hamilton delivers a storming lap to win his first COTA pole.
Hamilton, trailing his nemesis-cum-team-mate Nico Rosberg by 33 Points in the World Championship standing, has now moved up to No.3 on the list of most poles - of all time.
'This is my first pole here, and it has been many years of trying. So, I am very happy today.' declares Hamilton.
Previously, in a statement posted on Twitter, Hamilton had said COTA is a special track for him, having won his third World Championship Title here last year.
With the stage now nothing but all set for Sunday's main action, the world awaits if Hamilton could still pull-off the unthinkable - turn the mountain around and steal the lead from Rosberg with only few remaining races left on the table.
Let's then wait, and see.
