TENNIS : ROGER FEDERER - - ALL HAIL THE GREATEST !
Talk about time. And defying it.
Roger Federer defied all the undefiable when he set a new World Record of 18 Grand Slam Titles, by smashing his own record of 17, in a thrilling 5-Set classic duel with his old-time nemesis Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open.
Federer, triumphant after 3 hours and 37 minutes of do-or-die battle, 6-4; 3-6; 6-1; 3-6; 6-3.
At age 35, Roger Federer had proved everything wrong.
Well, everybody who didn't believe he could ever win another Grand Slam, again.
Everybody, who already had written him off -- quite literally.
And yes, perhaps, even the numbers, Federer had proved them wrong.
That "35" is not his age. It's the wrong number.
As Roger Federer is simply ageless!
Ageless and timeless, truly is his greatness.
Muhammad Ali proclaimed himself, he was "The Greatest".
Now comes a man who proclaims nothing.
All hail, The Greatest!
