Pacquiao, arguably one of the greatest fighters that ever lived, will fight in Australia for the first time in his career.
The opponent?
Well, it's virtually an unknown Welterweight contender called Jeff Horn.
A Queenslander.
Queensland is a place in Australia known for its wild weather and storms.
But Manny Pacquiao himself is no stranger to tropical storms and super typhoons, growing up in the Western Pacific islands of Philippines.
This time, he will be the storm in the Southern Land.
Jeff Horn - - a former school teacher - - though now ranked No.2 in the world, is literally a greenhorn in the sport.
He had his first professional fight just a little over 4 years ago, in 2013.
Though he is undefeated in 16 fights, not much to talk about him, really.
For now.
Not for long.
Since pitted against the legendary Manny Pacquiao, the 29-year-od Queenslander has got the world’s attention, all over.
Manny Pacquiao, an elected Senator in his native Philippines, is the heavy favorite to win the fight.
Now an 11-Time World Champion, and the only 8-Division World Champion in history, with 59 Wins under his belt, Pacquiao's record is, by far, a world away from Horn's.
Horn was teaching "show-and-tell" lessons to small kids in the primary, when Pacquiao was already making millions of dollars in the ring.
But make no mistake, Jeff Horn is an Aussie kid "who can really fight", says one of his promoters.
"I know, he'll hit me . . . it will be easier to hit him back", said Horn of Pacquiao.
Regardless, Jeff Horn is having the greatest day of his life.
Coming face-to-face with one of the greatest sporting legends of his time.
And, it's in the ring.
Comes July 2 down in Brisbane, Queensland.
