Football Legend Lionel Messi has tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Antonella Roccuzzo, in what the media say could be the "Wedding of the Century".
Argentina stands still as the biggest names in football and celebrities plane in for the lavish event with hundreds of police deployed and some nearly 200 journalists scouring around.
The two exchanged "I do's" at a luxury hotel casino complex in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo first met together as little toddlers, some 25 years ago in their native Argentina when they were just 5 years old and 4 years old, respectively.
Lionel Messi moved to Spain when he was 13 after accepting an offer from Barcelona - - a contract born out of haste, signed on a scanty paper napkin over dinner in a restaurant - - leaving behind his childhood club in Argentina, and his loved ones.
In 2008, Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo began dating each other.
The following year, Messi confirmed publicly they were in a relationship.
The couple had been living together since and now have two sons - - Thiago Messi, born 2 November 2012, and Mateo Messi, born 11 September 2015.
