TENNIS : ANDY MURRAY DETHRONES NOVAK DJOKOVIC AS WORLD NO. 1 !
The world of tennis will wake up Monday morning, with a new name on top of its helm.

Novak Djokovic is king, no more.

Andy Murray takes over as the new ruler.

After years of heartache and frustration, the 29-year-old Scot is finally on top of the world - for the first time in his career.

Andy Murray's ascent to World No.1 breaks Novak Djokovic's long running reign in tennis.

Djokovic had been the World No. 1, uninterrupted, since July of 2014, and had been the World No. 1, intermittent, for 221 Weeks, overall, since first becoming World No. 1 in 2011.

Andy Murray's long wait to become World No. 1, has lasted more than 7 years - a record in tennis - with him hanging fire as number 2.

The so-called Big Four in tennis - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and, Andy Murray, himself - had been dominating the sport for more than ten years, or so.

But Andy Murray is seemingly left behind, unable to break into the top - until now.

Though Andy Murray is a back-to-back Olympic Champion, and already has three Grand Slam Titles under his belt, it is still a far cry from Federer's 17 Grand Slam Titles, Nadal's 14, and Djokovic's 12.

And to think, this is Andy Murray's only first taste of being World No. 1.

While, needless to say, the other three had been all over it, countless times.

With age now seemingly catching up on Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal - and probably Novak Djokovic - the Big Four could be fading away with time.

And so with Andy Murray.

Murray's break as new World No. 1 came as he reaches the Finals at the Paris Masters, this weekend.

He went past Miloc Raonic who withdrew from their Semi-Final encounter, Saturday.

Novak Djokovic, meanwhile, could have still retained his crown as World No. 1, should he reached the Paris Masters Finals - just like Andy Murray did.

He was, however, eliminated by Marin Cilic in the Quarter Finals, Friday.

The biggest question now for Andy Murray is: for how long could he hold on as World No.1 ?

How many more Grand Slams in his sight?

Years of defeat and pain, from his nemeses within the Big Four, had certainly toughened the toughest in him.

Bring it on, Andy!

All hell breaks loose, as the Cubs clinch their victory in an epic, action-and-drama-filled Game 7 over the Cleveland Indians snatching their first World Series Championship Title since 1908, sending fans in complete hysteria - perhaps nirvana for some - with one fan sign saying it all, "Now, I can die in peace".

A rain delay has left all the suspense and drama briefly hanging, before action began exploding anew culminating in the extra innings, with an astonishing finish.

The Cubs trailed the Indians in the best-of-seven Series 3-1, but somehow managed to turn things around, against all odds, winning Game 5, Game 6 - and ultimately - Game 7 to pull-off one of the most incredible comeback victory, ever.

UFC : RONDA ROUSEY ON UFC 207 - - ' THIS IS ONE OF MY LAST FIGHTS ' !

UFC : RONDA ROUSEY ON UFC 207 - - ' THIS IS ONE OF MY LAST FIGHTS ' !
And so, the end is near.

So goes that famous line.

UFC 207 is definitely one of my last fights,' declares Ronda Rousey.

She broke the news in a sit-down interview with Hollywood heavyweight Ellen DeGeneres.

Deafening news to millions of UFC fans around the world, an extra magnitude to the most awaited return of the most dangerous woman on earth.

UFC 207, Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes, December 30, 2016, T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.

To be fair, at age 29, Ronda Rousey is not getting any younger - at all.

Like many sporting greats before her, her time will come - sooner or later.

But when is going to be the last, it's actually not easy to decide, when you're up there, I tell you.

Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Randy Couture, all clearly did not actually know when to call it quits.

Never mind Floyd Mayweather - or Manny Pacquiao.

Retired (well, kinda), and later came back as the others did.

Quit while you are winning, Michael Jordan once espoused, as he first announced his shock retirement from NBA in 1993.

He didn't practice what he preached, we all know.

Money, fame, the so-called passion and love of sports - you may go on a long, long list.

But the real reason why we all don't know when to stop, is for me, pure and simple.

Human nature.

Ronda Rousey's last fight?

I tell you, it would be much, much later than when she ever thought it would be.

Wanna bet?
